not a lotta bloggin' for good reason!

You know why? Because I've been doing a lot of knitty knit knittin'!

I'm VERY excited about my stocking with Universal Mama tomorrow night. Have I ever mentioned how grateful I am that such a talented group of woman asked me to work with them creating hand-made products? *love* Well in celebration of the Vernal Equinox we are doing a super big special stocking on Monday night. Lots of new vendors to reveal and old favorites as well. Not sure where I fit in since I'm still kinda new and not so old - but either way, I hope you check it out at the very least.

Here is what Dwell Wool Knits has to offer:

A wonderfully girly collaberation with Cake. and Kukae and Mimi and Union Center Knits~

A pair of shorties dyed by Mosiac Moon in the "Gaia II" colorway on organic merino~

"Little Miss Sunshine" capris dyed by Wooly Wonders by Nada on Blue-Face Leicester wool~

A semi-custom knitting slot with Kim of Western Sky Knit's adorable "cheep, cheep" coloway~

And kinda last minute I decided to add a custom knitting slot for a pair of scrappy's sold by lottery. Fun! I will let the winner choose a Hudson Hat (which I'm now licensed to knit!) or a pair of scrappy woolies.

It's been fun planning this all out and I hope you have fun shopping! See ya there!

Spring Equinox 2009

The rebirth of spring is coming around the corner... And to welcome it in, Dwell Wool Knits and all the ladies of Universal Mama are planning something very special that you won't want to miss!

Keep your eye out and please join us on Monday, March 23 as the rebirth of Universal Mama will be revealed. You won't want to miss it!

I'm in a groove of knitting Elliebelly yarn! And guess who isn't complaining? This girl! :)

Sadly the trend is over for now but soon enough I hope to work on more Elliebelly yarn.

First is Joanna's completed 'crayon' is ready to go! They needed some extra TLC but now they're ready on their way.

Elliebelly Crayon

Also just freshly complete is Amy's 'Sakura' longies for her new sweetie pie who also is freshly.. um, delivered! Congrats to you Amy!

I really need to start documenting the wild things that come out of Jackson's mouth lately. This evening we were driving to a friends for dinner and Jackson suddenly recalled having a Curious George Tattoo on his hand - ya know, one of those wash off kinds.

Jackson: Remember that tattoo I had one time Mom?
Me: Yes Jack - that was cool huh?
Justin: Would you ever want to get a real tattoo Jack, one that doesn't come off?
Jackson: Oh yeah.
Me: What would it be?
Jackson: Darth Vader.
Justin: Where would you get it?
Jackson: Right here. (pointing to the center of his forehead.)

Ha! He might regret that someday!

Snow Day!

Well it was too windy and cold to actually enjoy the 8 inches of snow we got on Monday until today. It was perfect too since the sun beat down and warmed up the snow just enough to make it nice and packable. Meet Mr. Snowman.

He and Liam watched Jackson attack the snow with a snow shovel. Note the looks of shock on their faces as the pristine blanket of snow was decimated.

Oh, and don't you just love the Lighting McQueen hat on Liam? Clearance at Target. Jackson has a Darth Vadar. Very appropriate. And out of all the hats I've made them they prefer these. *sob*

Here's a peek of Elliebelly's Crayon I'm working up for Joanna. I took this photo Monday - they are actually almost done now. Just a cuff and drawstring!

Unpacking is going well. I seem to have lost my steam today though. I'm still looking for my salt and pepper shakers, teapot (aaaack!) and measuring spoons. I feel like I've been making ghetto tea in my sauce pot! But it's been working. Desperate times call for desperate measures. ;)

template change?

Hmm. What do you think of this? With moving and all the change I feel like I need a new blog background. White was just so... white.

moved in

Well here we are! We survived moving out of our in-laws and into our new home. I'm looking out the window right now watching snow fall. We could get 8-14 inches today! I'm glad it held out because that would have been a mess to move in.

I have a couple emails I need to respond to - I hope to get to today when I sneak breaks from unpacking.

For a little something to make us all smile, here is Roberta's little sweetie pie dressed up in her new punky crayon's, dyed by Elliebelly.
